This is it, 31 more days to the official start up of the 27 Km long Particle Accelerator in CERN, Geneva. The question lies here; will this accelerator be our dooms machine or will it be an answer to our latest scientific discovery to unravel the mystery of our universe? Will our billions of dollars project be put to a waste only to realise that it has created a blackhole which might harm the entire human race?
Of course i would have to stress myself once again. the LHC is totally, absolutely safe from any disaster. as quoted from NewScientist,

Contrary to the somewhat feverish claims laid out in an recent lawsuit, when our favorite particle-smashing, Force-finding Large Hadron Collider is switched on soon it will not result in the destruction of life as we know it. Such claims are "complete nonsense" say the scientists at CERN (and everywhere else,) in response to the suit. They should know: it's their machine, they designed it and they've been telling everyone for a while that their research shows it's safe.
The lawsuit filed by a group of Hawaii residents is alleging that not enough safety checks have been made by CERN to prevent disaster when the LHC goes live in the coming weeks. It may "create unsafe conditions of physics" which may have disastrous effects. How? Well, you may imagine a micro black hole gobbling up everything unstoppably, while a strangelet (a hypothetical clump of particles including strange quarks) may run amok converting all nearby matter into strange matter, also wrecking the Earth.
James Gillies, a CERN spokesman, suggests this is rubbish in this response to the New Scientist: "The LHC will start up this year, and it will produce all sorts of exciting new physics and knowledge about the universe." It's no threat at all, he says: "A year from now, the world will still be here." The LHC is actually designed to probe the boundaries of physics, and while a 2003 safety study did conceed that micro black holes or magnetic monopoles may be formed, they would be short-lived and offer no threat.

So lately i've been doing lots of shopping mostly for clothes and IT products. My wishlist starts to pile up almost exponentially just this year. Guess its part of poly life after all. So last week i was looking around for some pretty gothic lolita dresses which i'd probably try wearing out in the streets one of these days with a few other mates. Lmao this sounds pretty crazy but its only now that i've started liking lolita dresses. Its aint some sort of fetish or what but i just find it unique. So before i've actually gotten some dresses, i went to look for nice wigs along with it. Well its not EASY dressing up as a girl as what i used to think. I've have got to try to walk, talk and behave like a girl. WTF? wouldn't that be so gay? But yeah its really a no choice if i were to dressed as a goth-loli cause there "guidelines and standards" you've got to follow or else you'll get flamed. So i was with a few of my friends and we checked out a few goth loli shops in singapore. There's bloodromance and haru in far east and alice 88th in bali lane in bugis. I have to admit, i pretty much liked alice 88th for their good service. I made good friends with alice and her helpers too!
Not that the other 2 shops are bad; haru has got great stuff there and most of the time i'm browsing their online catalog instead. Blood romance was another place i wouldn't mind hanging out. That lady there was just a nice chap and she's cool alright! :D lmao i tried a couple of punk clothing there and added some of them to my wishlist lol. So one of my friend wanted me to try on this loli blouse and skirt she found at the new arrivals. The blouse was a pure victorian with some black and white laces on it. The skirt has got some gold and black ( if i remembered) frills and laces. Surprisingly i liked it and that lade wouldn't mind selling it for 140. So i told her i'd come back again next week or so.

I've finally decided to work on a cooler tower to store all that of my 6 harddrives working independently from my cpu since i needed them occasionally whenever i'm out with my notebook. The problem is, harddrives get HOT after a while. And i hadn't got any fans over it. That means i'm risking all my data in it. And THATS LOTS of data in 6 harddrives which sums up to about 1.3 TB (terabyte which is = 1300GB). so i got myself a couple of 6" by 3" metal 12v fans along with a some materials to make a nice tower. Already i've got 2 dying 80gb IDE seagate hdd which lasted for 6 years and it ran my linux os. 4 others were ide too but were running xp and vistas and 2 sataIIs are mainly for storage. So will be working on it pretty soon lmao

After 7 years of "dislike" towards the japanese cultures, rock bands and their unique fashion; all my friends have finally influenced me to start reading mangas and watch anime cartoons. Now that i've actually watched then, its not too bad either! So cheeryl first (one of my DPA mate from sp) introduced Blackjack 21 and she said i gotta have to watch it. So yeah it was awesome! So i spent hours in crunchyroll watching episodes after episodes. No shit yeah? Next thing i knew, i was pretty much into the Gazette.
